All
around the Village and in Cantal and Puy de Dôme, hiking trails
are well marked . The open landscapes of the large meadows alternate with the
wooded valleys to make walking through them, a pleasure.
Some circuits are
set for families walks :
- Forest Park of Poulainville in Condat (at 14km): The paths take you amongst
the tall trees of the domain , botanical informations are
posted to help identify the species.
- Discovery Path of " Frau de Vial "in Ségur
(25km): Path in the fields above Ségur through peat bogs and
wet meadows, informations panels explain the operation of these natural
ecosystems.
And for experienced hikers : - the " Path of the Red Cows "
runs across the Cézallier in 4 to 9 days. The complete route crosses
Cézallier and continues in Puy de Dôme.
Two others long distance trails are worth
a visit:
- GR. 4: High plateau and volcanoes of Auvergne
- GR. 30: The complete tour to discover the numerous
crater lakes in Auvergne.
