Located in the Volcanoes Natural Park in High Auvergne, in the north of Cantal, on the border with Puy de Dôme, the Lake of Estives and its country cottages and Bed and breakfast, can accomodate you, throughout the year, for a weekend or a week vacation.

  An island between the Mounts of the Cantal (1855m) and the Mounts Dore (Sancy 1885m), the mountains of Cézallier offers varied landscapes,  great vista alternating with wooded valleys. The possibilities of walks and excursions are endless and you can discover them on foot , mountains bikes or riding horses. Cross country skiing is great during the winter season. 

  The lake has an area of 7 acres, and the bank is sheltered  on one side, by a forest of fir trees , its clear water are full of large brown and rainbow trouts. The lake is flyfishing only, and when you'll hook one of the larger fish, that's fishing at its best!

   Set in a wooded park of 20 acres, the " Village of
Estives " consists of  ten 60m² cottages overseeing the lake, and nested in the fir trees, on the water edge, a wooden, romantic country cottage, and just by the lake, 6 Light wooden cottages . Plus four Bed&Breakfast rooms located in a newly renovated farm building. A

   The Village des Estives can be the center of your Green Holidays in Auvergne. You will be able to visit the neighbouring cheese-making farms (cantal, salers, St nectaire), and discover the numerous Mountain lakes ,
born from volcanic eruptions or spend a day learning everything about volcanoes by visiting Vulcania (European Center of Vulcanology).
