You’ll find the holiday village in an atypical environment, in the middle of the estives ( mountain pasture) at 1220 m above sea level.
You will be plunged into a setting similar to the Scottish and the Mongolian lands. With its fantastic views on the “ Massif du Sancy” and the Monts du Cantal...the panorama is just amazing !!

the holiday village "Lac des Estives" is the perfect place to stay with friends, family or for gatherings.
Open from March to December, we offer 17 accommodation spread over a 9-hectare estate : 6 holiday cottages for 6 people and 4 holiday cottages for 7 people overlooking the lac, 6 chalets for 4 people near the lake and a large cottage for 15 people.
For your private and professional events, we offer the Chamaroux room (45 places) or the Estives room (120 places) these reception rooms are fitted out in 2 renovated and authentic "burons" with their exposed stones, their wooden beams and their large fireplaces.
The estate is located in quiet natural surroundings : the lake is bordered by a forest of fir and cedar trees, and the river is lined with rowan trees. You can take a leisurely stroll, admire the sunset over the lake and enjoy the Zen atmosphere, far from the noise and everyday stress!.
For group activities, with family or friends, you can take advantage of the heated and covered swimming pool (from April to early October), the petanque pitch, a the 100m² games room, and the games library.
And during the summer holidays, one per week, there is a cinema screening ! In our projection room.
The upper part of the three hectares lake is lined with a forest of fir trees and cedars. Its clear waters are full of fishes ( rainbow trouts, farios, salmons, speckled trouts..) This is the place to fly fish !!
In a magnificent and untouched nature ( Zona Natura 2000) the holiday village "Lac des Estives" is the perfect place for your "green" holidays in the Cantal. Many walks and hikes : The Mont Chamaroux, the waterfall of the Saillant, the PR3, the PR5 and the GR30.
For riders, the equestrian track Cézallier-Limon runs close to the holiday village.
It is a starting point to visit the cheese farms, the castles, the medieval city of Besse. You can also go on the bike-rail, discover the mountain lakes or spend a day at the Vulcania park.
This territory is idyllic for astronomy : the high trays of Cézallier offer a total darkness without light pollution.
In winter, the play area is huge, wWe can lend snowshoes and sledges to have fun in the fresh snow.
